Linocut Printing class | Sunday 17th May, 2026 | 14:00-18:00 | 60€
With Sarah Morel (in English)
In this workshop, we'll use the natural world as a starting point for creating a series of single-colour prints.
We'll explore carving techniques to discover texture, pattern, and depth, taking inspiration from things like bark, leaves, stones, and branches. You can go as abstract or as detailed as you like: zoom in on tiny details, simplify shapes, or invent your own forms based on what you see or remember.
We'll begin with a short walk through Goethe Park to gather ideas, then head back to the studio to carve our designs into lino blocks and start printing. Along the way, you'll learn the full process: from developing and transferring your design, to carving, inking, and printing on the press. We'll also cover simple registration techniques and how different papers can change the feel of your prints.
Suitable for absolute beginners and improvers alike.
